Earlier this month, Samsung announced the fixes for the September 2024 security patch. Shortly after, the company began rolling out the update for models like the Galaxy Z Fold 6, Galaxy Z Flip 6, Galaxy S20 FE, Galaxy A55, and the Galaxy S21 series. Now, it’s time for the flagship phone series. Here are the details:
September 2024 security package for the Galaxy S24 series released
Due to the rollout of One UI 6.1.1 for the Galaxy S24 series and other advanced devices, the release of the September 2024 package for the latest flagship series was delayed. However, the expected update is now available for European models. It is expected to reach more countries very soon.
The update, available for the Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24 Plus, and Galaxy S24 Ultra in the United States, has the firmware version S92xBXXS3AXHD. It seems there are no new features or performance improvements. The update mainly includes security fixes and overall system stability enhancements.
According to Samsung’s security blog, the September 2024 security package addresses 67 security vulnerabilities affecting Galaxy phones and tablets. As some of the flaws are classified as high-risk and critical, the update is marked as highly important.
If you own a Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24 Plus, or Galaxy S24 Ultra and want to check if the September 2024 security package is available, you can simply go to Settings > Software Update > Download and Install.
It’s important to note that the update is being rolled out gradually. If you haven’t received it yet, you may need to wait a bit longer. The update will be distributed to users worldwide in the coming days.
